HOW TO CLEAN WALLS AND WALL PARTITIONS
Tools and Materials Needed
- Trigger sprayer / Foam gun / Portable Bucket Fill
- Clean bucket
- Clean cloths
- Products
- Cleaner disinfectant
- Material Safety Data Sheets for chemicals used
- Personal protective equipment as called for in MSDS
- If blood or other potentially infectious material is present, follow the exposure control
plan
Purpose of Wall and Partition Washing
- Dirty walls are unsanitary. Dirt acts as a breeding ground for bacteria.
- Dirty walls make the room appear dull.
Procedure for Wall and Partition Washing
- Put on gloves and personal protection equipment. Always follow OSHA regulations and your sitespecific
exposure control plan.
- Using a trigger sprayer, foam gun or PBF, spray solution on walls and partitions, starting from the
bottom and working your way up.
- Wipe walls clean from the top down using a clean damp cloth.
- Rinse cloth frequently in clear water rinse.
- Extra procedure for washing partitions
- Thoroughly clean the underside of the partitions.
- This area becomes dirty from urine splash and needs daily attention.
